Interactive
Futures (IF) is a simulation company housed at Rider
University and in operation every spring semester. In
2001, I was hired as the Lead Tester of Interactive
Futures and promptly
promoted to Technical Specialist.
My
duties included using WebStar's server application to
set up server accounts and logins for the 18 employees,
setting FTP preferences, and organizing the server directories
and allowances. Then I was given the task of creating
the Web site for this Web Design company.
Besides
designing IF's Web site, I oversaw the technical details
of the creation of the site for IF's client, the Center
for Innovative Instruction (CII). At IF, we learned
a lot about what to do — and what NOT to do — as a Multimedia
and Web Design company.
